Where can I find examples of "Good" and "Bad" Leases for Apartments in Ontario?

Posted in Hunting Leases  by admin

I'm trying to put together a seminar for students in my University that will help them when they begin hunting for their first apartment, or if they encounter trouble with their landlord. I'm having a terrible time trying to find examples of a good lease, versus a bad lease, so I can show them what to look for. I'm very familiar with the Residential Tenancies act, and the Landlord and tenant board, but they don't seem to be much help unless you're already entered into a "bad" lease, or if something goes wrong.

I'd appreciate some suggestions on this! And experiances with good and bad leases would be helpful too! Thanks!

You probably shouldn't be teaching this issue then.

Read a lease contracting book and it will give you examples.

deer hunting lease in FLorida?

Posted in Hunting Leases  by admin

I am looking for hunting land to manage and take the deer population to a new level in the state of Florida. I need to find land to hunt and lease in the Central part of Florida for not much money. Me and 2-3 other ethical hunters are willing to help with all fencing, maintaince and any other needs if wanted. We can contact owner when we will be entering or leaving property and show tags and game for what we have taken. We are willing to treat the land as if it were our own for we are not fortunate enough to have our own land to treat in such manner. Im currently on a lease in North Florida but with the cost of gas and the rise in the cost of other things I am no longer able to afford the cost of hunting. I have looked into several other leases in central Florida but the cost is between $2,500.00 and $5,000.00 per year and that way to much for me.Any people interested please contact me via email at jsmmmh@netzero.com . Thanks for taking the time to read this and please consider. Jeremy
Ok lets start out by saying if you dont have an answer to my question keep your comments to yourself. I dont need anyone telling me about ethics and high fences. I never mentioned high fences all I mentioned was help with fences. Most if not all property in Florida is fenced due to cattle. So like I aid before keep your coments to yourself.

I would say, that your chance of finding something like that, would very slim, to none.
there MIGHT be some land in the panhandle, but there again, it would be doubtful.
about the only thing that you may be able to do, is check with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission & see if they might be able to help you out.

GOOD LUCK

Have no idea if this would work, but you also might try the Florida Cattlemens association or the agriculture extention office in the counties aroung where you are intrested.
Who knows, you may just find something.

again, good luck

How Can I Get A Hunting Lease?

Posted in Hunting Leases  by admin

Where, what, when, why, and just about any other info that you can provide me on hunting leases would be awesome. I live in northeastern IL. but spend alot of time hunting southeastern Wi. public land. The public land I hunt is hit too hard for deer and I am trying to find other options. Thankyou very much for any help.

I live in SW WI. It is not easy to lease land for hunting around here. Most people either hunt themselves, already have a leaser, or let anybody hunt on the land. The fasted way to find land to lease is to scout an area you want to hunt with a plat book and a local phone book. If you see land that you think would be worth spending money on a lease, look on the plat to see who owns it and give them a call. It may also help if you are willing to come up and help farmers during their busy times. If you can drive a tractor, or at least throw bales you can help.

Most times you will get a polite no, but if you don't try, you will never get permission. Another way that seems to be getting more popular is to use craigslist. Put an add in the wanted section for the general area that you are looking in and hope for the best. Most local land owners are leary of letting strangers on their land (especially a FIB) so sound as personable and Wisconsinish as possible.
