Best?……. Interesting question…. I have a whole safe full of expensive shotguns and do you know what I use for birds??? An H&R Pardner 12 gauge…… It cheap and fun to use…. I have get more enjoyment out of it that with my Remington 870 Wingmaster……
Willow is one of the store's pet birds at the pet store "Pet Connection" in Odessa TX. She is adorable and loves to talk so I decided to take some video of her.
im looking for a gun that i can use for turkey, duck, goose, dove, just basically any and all types of birds, also for some skeet shooting here and there. looking for something that isnt real expensive.
I’m sorry – I shouldn’t have put my face in front of your gun.
Gotta love that – Imagine if YOU had shot someone and when the police showed up you told them “come back tomorrow and I’ll talk to you about it then”. Not only does he get away with that crap but actually gets the guy he shot to apologize for being in the way.
I’m 50 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh 165#
What would be a good shotgun for me?
I don’t want some cheap crap as I’m thinking of small game hunting and skeet shooting.
A 12 gauge is just fine. Use 2 3/4 inch shotshells. The recoil isn’t a big deal as long as you stay away from the 3 inch stuff. I’m 6 foot 220 pounds and dont shoot the 3 inch cartridges……
There are a couple of different philosophys regarding shotguns……. For skeet / trap small game some prefer an over and under or side by side double barrel shotgun…..

Others prefer the semi-auto for more than 2 follow up shots….

It would be helpful if you gave us an idea of what your budget is….
For inexpensive (but not cheap) over under shotguns look at these Mossbergs and Stoeger shotguns…..
