We are non drinkers and not into the dance or nightclub scene. We are not religious freaks nor prudes we just don’t party much. We are not offended by ******* beaches all though we won’t be joining them. We are young 44 and 43 and can travel just about any time of the year. Price is not a major concerne but serenity is. Dove Hunting

I have a litter of rat terriers and I have chosen the one that I like. My boyfriend likes to bird hunt (particularly dove hunting) and I want to be able to bring my dog with us when he gets older. I’ve been clapping by him to get him used to loud sounds, so my question is just can a rat terrier be trained to retrieve a bird the size of a dove.
By the way, if anyone is going to criticize me for having a boyfriend who is a hunter, I don’t love it either. I’m from canada and now live in texas and basically every man here hunts.

Okay to be clear, I am not getting the dog for hunting. I happen to be getting this kind of dog and was wondering if it is capable of retrieving. If I was getting a dog for hunting (which I plan too) I would get a hunting dog like a weimaraner or a german shorthaired pointer. There is an open field with no water and no high trees. Just grass that is mowed. He will not go on duck hunts. Only dove.
